Joe Foster – team leader

JoeF 1Joe Foster started his career as a gardener at Heaver Castle in 2013 before moving into the arboricultural industry.  He joined Glendale as a team leader/lead climber in 2016.

It’s not the first role at Glendale for Surrey-based Joe, he became an arboricultural apprentice with the green space management specialist in August 2014.  After completing his apprenticeship in 2015 he left to gain more experience at Tree Craft, before returning to Glendale in 2016.

His current role sees him undertaking on and off-ground arboricultural works and site specific risk assessments, identifying tree species and common pests and diseases, operating a range of machinery and carrying out routine tree maintenance.

Joe’s qualifications include:

  • NPTC CS 30/31, 38/39 and 41
  • B and E Licence
  • He is also certified to use a MEWP, chipper and stump grinder
  • Vetern Tree Management

He is currently working towards his International Society of Forestry certificate in Arboriculture.
